Het Rijksmuseum heeft een volledig vernieuwde app. Met 14 audiotours in 9 talen, wayfinding, tickets en de collectie onder één knop.
Deze tour leidt langs twintig voorwerpen die verschillende kanten van het Nederlandse koloniale verleden laten zien, de donkere én de lichte, de bekende én de onbekende. Achter de collectie van het Rijksmuseum gaan allerlei verhalen schuil. De tour gaat over uitbuiting, slavernij en overheersing, maar ook over de nieuwsgierigheid naar nieuwe werelden die leidde tot handel, vernieuwing en culturele uitwisseling.

The Rijksmuseum has launched a completely revamped smartphone app. It gives users access to 14 audiotours in 9 languages, wayfinding, the e-ticket shop and the Rijksmuseum collection.
This tour leads past twenty objects that show different sides of the Dutch colonial past, the dark and the light, the known and the unknown. There are many stories behind the collection of the Rijksmuseum. The tour is about exploitation, slavery and domination, but also about the curiosity for new worlds that led to trade, innovation and cultural exchange.
